Trenz Winery
Family business since 1670
We have been dedicated to winemaking in the Rheingau for over 350 years – a long time in which we have gained a deep understanding of the soils, climate, and terroir of this unique wine region. This centuries-old winemaking experience can be tasted in every glass. Today, we combine our Rheingau winemaking tradition with modern expertise and innovative ideas. This creates wines of strong character, with a clear structure, profile, and unique flavor – true ambassadors of Rheingau quality wine .

Our bestseller
Steinhaus – Rheingau terroir in a bottle.
Our Steinhaus Riesling grows in our highest vineyard , on clear, stony Taunus quartzite . This special location gives it its clear, mineral structure and shapes its character . With its grippy acidity typical of the Rheingau, it is crisp , straightforward, and unmistakable . A Riesling that reflects the terroir of the Rheingau in every nuance .

One winery, two worlds, one signature
Germany's northernmost wine meets South African excellence
The Trenz winery stands for passion , heritage , and a spirit of discovery . With deep roots in the Rheingau, we have been breaking new ground for years. In 2024, we harvested our first wine on the North Frisian island of Amrum – from 0.5 hectare of vines that defy the harsh North Sea climate and produce a wine with strong character . At the same time, our hearts have also been beating in the south for over ten years : in Stellenbosch, South Africa , we cultivate 2 hectares of vineyards together with the Dellheim winery . There we produce a powerful, typically South African red wine – sun-drenched, intense , and with a Rheingau signature .
